Webinar: Investigation of Apparent Vaccine Failure - Discussing a systematic approach

Thursday, 22 March, 1:00 PM » 2:00 PM
Site event

The fifth month course of the Progressive Control Practitioners' Network is now online. The topic of of this month is "Investigation of Apparent Vaccine Failure".

There is little argument that vaccination against FMD is one of the key elements for control of FMD. However, vaccination against FMD should not be considered as the only approach for progressive FMD control in FMD-endemic countries. Simply because there too many issues regarding the vaccine quality and the vaccination strategy that may hamper the effectiveness of vaccinating against FMD. What these issues are? Well, that is what we like to discuss in detail in this month of the Progressive Control Practitioner Network.

During our second webinar we will discuss about systematic approaches. In particular we will focus on:

  • Summarizing the discussions and inquiries of this month
  • Key issues on apparent vaccine failure
  • A systematic approach to investigate apparent vaccine failure defined
